Automize provides geotechnical services for wireless tower, industrial, commercial and residential developments; building and high rises; industrial sites (Oil & Gas and Manufacturing), local government, transportation, mining facilities, dam, pipeline, airport expansions, and bridge construction projects in Alberta to guide our clients from investigation through innovative design and construction monitoring. We have completed geotechnical investigations for subdivision, dam, water treatment plant, pump stations, roadways, highway intersections, transmission lines, oil and gas facilities, communication towers, residential including high-rise developments and commercial buildings.

We have experience in construction monitoring and field reviews, foundation design & inspection, quality control and quality assurance testing and management including inspection and testing of concrete, soils and asphalt. We also provide concrete, aggregate and asphalt mix designs & reviews; pile monitoring (Cast-in-place, driven steel, belled, compactor and CFA); footing inspections; non-destructive concrete testing (NDT). We provide soil index testing, aggregate and concrete testing; We also provide compaction testing and other type of field monitoring.

Geotechnical Investigation

Automize’s team of geotechnical engineers, geoscientists, and technologists specialize in geotechnical investigations to recommend construction designs related to soil, rock, and groundwater. We incorporate the analytical evaluation of various construction materials for their physical and chemical properties. We have completed a wide range of public and private projects including residential/commercial property developments, wireless tower, schools, community centres, and other infrastructure projects.

Slope Stability Assessment

Slope stability is the potential of a naturally occurring or engineered soil slope (for example, embankments, cuttings, open-pit mining, excavations, landfills, etc.) to withstand ground movement. Most communities in Alberta refer to the City of Calgary or City of Edmonton has specifications for slope stability assessment. At Automize, we are familiar with both Calgary and Edmonton municipal slope stability regulations, and many other smaller communities throughout Alberta.

Soil Bearing Inspection

A Soil Bearing Report or subgrade review is required by the City of Calgary or City of Edmonton before requesting inspections for new home construction. The Alberta Building Code also refers to the Soil Bearing Report required in Calgary can be completed quickly.
